The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is the only national student organization for pre-professionals studying communication sciences and disorders (CSD) recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

The NSSLHA chapter at UNCG consists of approximately 100 members, continuously striving to volunteer and raise money for organizations associated with communication sciences and disorders. Membership to the UNCG NSSLHA Chapter is handled by UNCG NSSLHA Officers, and information about joining our chapter goes out to all CSD students via email early each fall.

MEMBER POINT SYSTEM

A point system has been employed to track the involvement of each NSSLHA member. To be considered an “active” member, each student must obtain 8 points per semester.

National NSSLHA Student membership is separate from UNCG NSSLHA Chapter membership, and provides students with several additional benefits, such as leadership and educational opportunities, subscriptions and services, student discounts, and information to help students stay current on advancements in the field of speech, language and hearing disorders.
