BRIEF BIO
Kate Kelleher is a doctoral student and licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She has a bachelor of science and a master of art in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University. She is currently living in Asheville, NC and teaching full-time at Western Carolina University.
Over her 15 year career, she has worked with many different populations. She worked for 5 years exclusively with children and school-age populations in home health, outpatient, private practice and the school system. For the last 10 years, she has been working with adults in skilled nursing, inpatient and outpatient care as well as clinical supervision at the WCU Speech and Hearing Clinic.
Her research interests include adult neurogenic disorders, attention, systems of care and counseling. When she is not working, she loves swimming, paddling, mountain biking and hiking with her partner, young daughter and two lovely dogs.
