BRIEF BIO

Krisi Brackett is a doctoral student and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She has a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill.

She has specialized for over 25 years in pediatric feeding and dysphagia. She currently works on the UNC Pediatric Feeding Team at UNC Hospitals, regularly teaches courses for professionals and graduate students, writes professionally, and blogs about feeding issues. Her research interests include medical and nutritional management of pediatric feeding disorders, hypersensitive gagging, and intervention across settings. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, music, writing, and spending time with her family.
