APPLICATION INFORMATION

Prospective graduate students apply online to either the UNC Greensboro (on campus) program or the IDEALL CSD (distant learning) program. Submit your application and materials directly to the Graduate School.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 1

The application, test scores, and all supporting materials must be received by February 1.

ADMISSION DECISIONS

Ph.D. applicants are reviewed by a special committee. A select group will be contacted by the committee chair to arrange an interview. Decisions on admission will be made by March 30.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

1. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (PERSONAL STATEMENT)

The Statement of Purpose is a required and important part of the application. The statement should indicate research interests and experiences, potential PhD mentors as well as long term career objectives. The graduate committee seeks to match research interests of applicants with individual faculty mentors.

Thus, it is appropriate as well as strongly encouraged for Ph.D. applicants to contact individual UNC Greensboro faculty members in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders prior to submitting an application.

3. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

Three letters are required and up to five can be accepted. Letters of recommendation should be from individuals who can speak to your academic abilities and accomplishments and likelihood of success

4. TEST SCORES

Official GRE scores come electronically from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and are required for all applicants.

5. SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS (OPTIONAL)

You will be prompted to upload supplemental materials/documents when you officially submit your application. You may submit any published work in this location.
