ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS ARE DUE BY 11:59 PM ON MAY 15th for an application to be considered complete, and to be reviewed for fall admission.

Applicants should submit their application and transcripts as early as possible to allow time for initial and final review of the application before the deadline.

  • ALL continuing UNCG and transfer students seeking a first bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology
  • All students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in a field other than Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and are interested in changing career directions through our Second Degree/Prerequisite program

All application materials must be received by 11:59pm on May 15th

  • Credit Hours: 55+ credit hours must be completed by the end of the spring semester (students completing 55 credit hours during the summer will be considered by the admission committee on an individual basis)
  • GPA: A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • OFFICIAL transcripts must be submitted from all colleges/universities where college credits were earned (even if no degree was earned)
  • Current UNCG students must submit two copies of their UNCG transcript (unofficial)

Current UNCG students are NOT required to resubmit official transcripts from schools they previously attended, however must upload a copy of their UNCG transcript twice during the application process:

How to Print/Save a Copy of your UNCG (unofficial) Transcript:

  • Log in to UNCGenie
  • Confirm that the Student Records tab is selected
  • Select Student Profile
  • Select Additional Links, then Academic Transcript
  • Choose the Transcript Level (All) and Transcript Type (Advising Transcript)
  • Click on the printer icon, select “Save as a PDF” as the Destination, then “Save
  • Rename the file (i.e.: UNCG.Transcript.Smith.Sue), and save it to your computer (note the location where it is saved)
  • FINAL STEPS: Log into your UNCG Application Portal
  • UPLOAD the copy of your transcript under the materials tab

New/Transfer/Prerequisite students must send an OFFICIAL transcript directly from their college/university to the UNCG Office of Admissions (through your college website, the National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, etc.) by the May 15th deadline.

Exception*: Students who are graduating this spring or summer, or are enrolled in summer courses at another university:

  • Submit an unofficial copy of your transcript (showing your spring grades) by May 15th
  • Email [email protected] to let us know when to expect your final/official transcript.
  • Not graduating? Submit an OFFICIAL transcript as soon as your summer grades have posted.
  • Graduating this spring or summer semester? Wait to submit an OFFICIAL transcript until your degree has been applied to your transcript.

*If your final spring grades will not be available by May 15th: Email [email protected] and [email protected] prior to the May 15th deadline to let us know when to expect your Official transcript; send your OFFICIAL transcript to UNCG as soon as it is available.

How to Download a Copy of your Transcript (unofficial):

  • Locate your transcript (showing your final spring grades) in your student account at your CURRENT college/university. This may be listed as an academic, advising, transfer, or unofficial transcript.
  • Download, Print, or Control+P to “print” the page.
  • Select “Save as a PDF” as the Destination (instead of a printer), then “Save”.
  • Rename the file (i.e.: Unofficial.Transcript.Smith.Sue), and save it to your computer (note the location where it is saved)
  • FINAL STEPS: Log into your UNCG Application Portal.
  • UPLOAD the copy of your transcript under the materials tab
