ALL application materials must be received by 11:59 pm on May 15th for an application to be considered complete, and to be reviewed for fall admission.

We recommend applicants submit their application and transcripts as early as possible, to allow time for the final review of the application before the deadline.

  • ALL continuing UNCG and transfer students seeking a first bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • All students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in a field other than Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and are interested in changing career directions through our Second Degree/Prerequisite program.

All application materials must be received by 11:59pm on May 15th

  • Credit Hours: 55+ credit hours must be completed by the end of the spring semester.
  • GPA: A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • OFFICIAL transcripts* must be submitted from all colleges/universities where college credits were earned (even if no degree was earned).
  • UNOFFICIAL (copies) of UNCG transcripts must be submitted by current UNCG students.

*Current UNCG students are NOT required to resubmit official transcripts that were previously submitted to UNCG.

Transfer students enrolled in spring courses must submit an OFFICIAL transcript showing their final spring grades by the May 15th deadline. Exception: Students completing a degree this semester (see below: )

  • Transcripts must be sent directly to UNCG from National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment to be considered OFFICIAL.
  • Visit your college/university website to begin the request; you will be directed to the appropriate website.

ALL UNOFFICIAL transcripts/copies of transcripts must be submitted through the UNCG Application Portal by the May 15th deadline.

Current UNCG students and students who are graduating from another college this spring may submit an UNOFFICIAL transcript showing final spring grades through their UNCG Application Portal.

Students graduating from another college/university this semester must submit their final OFFICIAL transcript as soon as their degree has been conferred/articulated.

Downloading your Unofficial transcript:

  • View your UNOFFICIAL transcript in UNC Genie, then select “Print” in the top right section of the page.
  • Select “Save as a PDF” as the Destination
  • Rename the file (i.e.: UNOFFICIAL Transcript_Smith, Sue), and save it to your computer (note the location that it has been saved to).
  • Current Students: Upload the file to the CSD Application for Continuing Students.
  • New/ Transfer/ Prerequisite Students: Upload the file as a Copy of Transcript through the UNCG Application.
